About Me...

Growing up, I have always been artistic. I have had an eye for design, color theory, and would frequently be found drawing, crafting, or creating in one way or another. Over the last few years, I have honed in on turning my once-considered hobby into a projected career.

I began my college education in my home state of North Carolina at VGCC, where I completed many of my prerequisite courses and earned my associate's degree in Art. I then moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where I attended Regent University. I remained there for two years, competed on the volleyball team, earned my bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts (with a minor in Art), and graduated summa cum laude and top of my class. Being a student-athlete taught me the importance of managing and balancing time, maintaining resilience, and prioritizing effective communication.

Having been blessed with the opportunity to take a variety of diverse art and design classes, I have already gained insight and learned about myself and my interests. I enjoy problem-solving with ways of implementing design elements and principles effectively and attractively. I like branding, layout design, and user interface and user experience (especially UI). I enjoyed a wide range of courses, only really disinterested in video production and coding.

Hi, I'm Nicole!

I've gained valuable experience working in customer service in the food industry and through one-on-one commissioned art projects. These roles have significantly enhanced my ability to communicate expectations, meet deadlines, and learn how to manage different personalities.

Apart from art, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing sports, and being outside by an ocean or lake. I'm all about trying new things! Whether it's new hobbies, exploring different cuisines, or a spontaneous adventure, I love the excitement of newness and keeping life interesting.

As an artist, I am inspired by my past accomplishments, my personal drive and work ethic, and ultimately who I know God designed me to be. As a Christian, I choose to not only dedicate my work to Christ but also acknowledge Him as the reason I create, having first been created in His image as we are told in Genesis 1:28 by God to "be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it." I owe my talents, skills, ambition, and character to Him.
